On October 15, 2019 The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology of the Republic of Indonesia released Decision 183 2019. SDPPI will now accept test reports from accredited foreign laboratories for HKT products (cellular phones, handheld computers and tablets). The recognition of the Foreign Test Labs shall be valid for 6 (six) months started from its issuance.
Recognized labs need to meet the following requirements:
- The laboratories have the ability to test telecommunication tools and/or equipment in accordance with technical requirements stipulated in Indonesia or their equal standard.
- Labs with ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation
- Labs registered in GCF (Global Certification Forum) and/ or CTIA (Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association).
