On November 29, 2019 The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology of the Republic of Indonesia released Decision 197 2019, amending Decision 183 2019. SDPPI has accredited 5 additional laboratories to certify HKT products (cellular phones, handheld computers and tablets), there is now a total of 45 recognized foreign test labs.
Recognized labs need to meet the following requirements:
- The laboratories have the ability to test telecommunication tools and/or equipment in accordance with technical requirements stipulated in Indonesia or their equal standard.
- Labs with ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation
- Labs registered in GCF (Global Certification Forum) and/ or CTIA (Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association).
