ANATEL, the authority in charge for approving telecommunications equipment in Brazil, has issued the official document Nº 384/2020/ORCN/SOR-ANATEL. The document states ANATEL is extending the flexibility for the renewal of certificates that will expire until September, 30, 2020, due to the COVID-19 scenario.
Certificates that expire between March 06, 2020 and September 30, 2020, will be allowed to renew without testing and presentation of pictures, for devices that did not undergo any change in its components compared to the previous certification.
