The telecommunications authority in Turkey, BTK, has halted all type approval applications as they reconsider the current type approval process. BTK has announced the RED directive and terminated the implementation of R&TTE. Internal meetings are being held and will decide whether to terminate the type approval applications or not. All Type Approval processes are on hold until a determination is made.
Due to COVID-19, the authority is currently working remotely and therefore this may take some time. If the BTK decides to terminate approvals, they will start to request RED compliance/CE Marking, Turkish User Manuals and the product label and samples to be prepared in regard to the Consumer Protection Law of Ministry of Trade.
