The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has introduced new Type Approval Regulations for 2021.
The updated exemption lists, “Authority Approved List of Items exempted from Type Approval/NOC” and “Terminal Equipment Required to be Type Approved”, now include only the following product categories:
- Networking Equipment (Switches, Firewalls, Servers, Storage Devices)
- Laptops/Desktops (Non-SIM based only)
- GPS only devices
