On June 9, 2021, ANATEL published Act Nº 5205 on the Operating Procedure for Product Approval by Declaration of Conformity with the ANATEL brand, for devices defined in Act Nº 7280. DoC with the ANATEL brand approval applies to only a few types of equipment, such as; Connector for Coaxial Cable, xDSL Filter – Switch Splitter, Aerial Optical Terminal Box, Underground Optical Terminal Box, Underground Optical Terminal Box for Residential Areas and Small Commercial Buildings, etc.
The official Act can be viewed here. The certification requirements are similar to applying for a CoC and include the submission of:
- Letter of Commercial Representation
- Documents with technical information on the product
- Internal and external pictures
- Factory ISO
- Test Reports
This procedure does not have certificate renewal, meaning the certificate is valid for lifetime.
