On August 2, 2021, the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), has released IMDA Technical Specifications for Short Range Devices Revision 2.
The Specification defines the minimum technical requirements for Short-range Radio-communication Devices (SRD) to operate in one of the authorized frequency bands or frequencies, and transmit within the corresponding output power levels and restricted conditions given in Table 1. For specific updates, please refer to Annex B1: Detailed changes in Table 1.
Key updates include:
- Sub-section for Equipment Safety Testing has been added
- Annex A : Conformity Assessment Checklist for SRD has been added
