China has released the new EMC standard, GB/T 9254.1-2021: Information technology equipment, multimedia equipment and receivers – Electromagnetic compatibility – Part 1: emission requirements. The implementation date is July 1, 2022.
Summary of the changes:
- the new standard will replace “GB/T 9254-2008” and “GB/T 13837-2012” effective July 1, 2022
- customers can apply for CCC certificate based on old standard or new standard until June 30, 2022
- for products that received CCC certification based on the old standards, a new application is required, the deadline for the update has not been released
- for certified products that have been delivered, put on the market and are no longer produced before July 1, 2022, a certificate update is not required
