The Telecommunications Digital Regulatory Authority (TDRA) has issued a notice of the updated TDRA label for telecom equipment, as follows:
The approved Regulation specifies the format of the Conformity Mark and where it should be displayed as follows:
- The Registered Telecommunications Equipment manufacturer or importer is obligated to place a Type Approval Conformity Mark prior to offering, selling or making the equipment available in the UAE market.
- The Mark shall be placed on the product box in a clear, readable and non removable manner.
- It shall also be placed under display platforms in retail stores (or any form of display) in a way that is clearly visible and legible to users. Examples include website platforms, shop/store display stands.
TDRA has announced they will begin monitoring the above processes for devices certified from January 1, 2023.
