As a reminder, the IMDA TS CD-SEC, titled “Security Requirements to Guard against Network Storms for Cellular devices”, entered into effect on January 2, 2023. All new applicable cellular devices are required to comply with IMDA TS CD-SEC during new equipment registration.
For cellular devices that were previously registered with IMDA prior to the implementation date, modifications to the application must be submitted before July 1, 2023.
As of July 1, 2023 all applicable cellular devices sold for local use in Singapore must comply with the new security requirements. Dealers/suppliers shall cease selling all applicable cellular devices that do not comply with the new requirements.
