Argentina – ENACOM Allocation of Frequency Bands for 5G Technology

Argentina - ENACOM Updated Standard For Cellular Devices Now Allows 5G Approvals

The Ente Nacional de las Comunicaciones (ENACOM) has been working hard towards the deployment of 5G in Argentina. In December 2022, Resolution 2386/2022 was published which allocated the 3300-3600 MHz band with primary basis to both Fixed and Mobile operation within the “Reliable and Intelligent Telecommunications Service (STeFI)” as TDD mode.

It is important to note that ENACOM is still in the early phases of 5g implementation, and will still not allow the approval of 5G devices until they prepare the corresponding regulatory framework and applicable technical standards to outline the requirements for device approval.
