The Autorité de Régulation des Postes Et Télécommunications (ARPT) published a new decision on June 12, 2023 in accordance with the provisions of Articles 64 and 65 of Law L/2015/018/AN of August 13, 2015 relating to Telecommunications and Information Technologies in the Republic of Guinea. Decision No. 003 aims to remind manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and importers of the importance to adhere to the ARPT Type Approval requirements.
Any terminal equipment or radio installation that directly or indirectly has the purpose of connecting to a telecommunications network or to a point of access and which transmits, receives or processes telecommunications signals, is subject to prior approval by the ARPT. There are no immediate changes to the Type Approval requirements.
