On December 27, 2023, The India Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) published a notification announcing the re-categorization of notified products as GCS (Generalized Certificate Scheme) and SCS (Simplified Certification Scheme) category under the Mandatory Testing & Certification of Telecom Equipment (MTCTE) regime.
