On July 5th, 2024, The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) released Memorandum Circular No. 002-07-2024, outlining new guidelines for the use for HIPERLANs and RLANs and opens the 5925-6425 MHz band for WiFi 6E.
This new Memorandum Circular defines the conditions of use and maximum powers for High Performance Radio Local Area Networks (HIPERLANs) and Radio Local Area Networks (RLANs) in the following frequency bands:
- 2400-2483.5 MHz
- 5150-5350 MHz
- 5470-5850 MHz
- 5925-6425 MHz
- 17.1-17.3 GHz
Effective Date
This new Memorandum Circular will take effect 15 days after publication in a newspaper of general circulation, which is on July 20, 2024.
