On July 24th 2019, Korea NRRA issued Notice No. 2019-12 about the Revision of Conformity Assessment System for Broadcasting and communication equipment.
The purpose of the notice:

- Re-arrangement of subjected equipment.
- Re-classification of Conformity Assessment Type for some subjected equipment.
- Other system improvements:
- Expansion of subjects & simplification of Conformity Assessment procedures and documents
- Mitigation of how to display the Conformity Assessment and clarification of subjected equipment
The most significant change is that previously, all Wireless Equipment fell under the Certificate of Conformity scheme. With this notice, BT, WLAN, and certain types of SRDs may now select to apply for Certification of Conformity scheme or Registration of Conformity scheme. While Radio and Radio-EMC testing are still required, the major impacts from this change are that these products no longer require SAR Testing and lead times may be shortened.
