Effective April 3, 2018, IFT-011-2017 will require additional in-country testing in Mexico that was not required until now: Technical specifications of mobile terminal equipment that can use the radio spectrum or be connected to telecommunications networks. Part 2. Mobile terminal equipment operating in bands of 700 MHz, 800 MHz, 850 MHz, 1900 MHz, 1700 MHz/2100 MHz and/or 2500 MHz.
If this pertains to your devices, you have less than two weeks to apply for homologation without paying for the additional testing. All documents (and any other testing necessary as it pertains to your product) required for application must be received and submitted to the authority prior to the end of March. After April 3, the new testing requirements will be in full effect.
