Important update – ENACOM has clarified that there will be no obligation to update the label design on certificate renewals and already approved devices. Such devices can keep the original labeling design chosen upon initial approval.
On August 12, 2020, ENACOM officially released Resolution No. 854/2020 to establish changes to the labeling requirements for ENACOM approved devices.
Main changes include:
- The CNC ID and logo have been replaced by the RAMATEL (Registro de Actividades y Materiales de Telecommunicaciones) registration number and logo
- ID numbers will remain the same if renewal applications are submitted before certificate expiration
- There is no longer a “legend” option under the current Resolution that was previously available under the CNC labeling scheme, the RAMATEL logo is mandatory to include on the product label
- E-Labeling is allowed per the instruction in the Resolution
