In order to develop a new testing standard for level probing radars (LPR) and tank level probing radars (TLPR) operating in the 76-81GHz band, ENACOM released Resolution 1134/2023 on August 18th, 2023. This would enable ENACOM certification of such devices.
The key points for this regulation are as follows:
- New Testing Standard for Level Probing Radars (LPR) and Tank Level Probing Radar (TLPR) : ENACOM-Q2-64.02 V22.1
- Came into force on August 18th, 2023.
- New frequency band 77.5-81GHz was allocated to Radiolocation Service with the primary category.
- It is based on ETSI TS 302 729 & TS 302 372 European standards.
- Until at least one local laboratory has the proper authorization to conduct tests in accordance with the technical standard, ENACOM permits homologation through a Declaration of Conformity, without local testing.
