Argentina - ENACOM Updated Standard For Cellular Devices Now Allows 5G Approvals

On March 8, 2022, ENACOM published the “Synthesized Resolution 280/2022” to introduce an updated Testing Standard for Low Power Devices (SRD).

New Testing Standard for Low Power Devices (SRD): ENACOM-Q2-60.14 V21.1:

    • Became effective March 8, 2022
    • Replaced former ENACOM-Q2-60.14 V20.1 standard
    • New SRD low frequency bands have been included:
      • 0.490 – 1.705 MHz
      • 1.705 – 30 MHz

ENACOM has granted a grace period of 90 calendar days to allow new and ongoing applications to be evaluated under the former Standard ENACOM-Q2-60.14 V20. No new testing will be required for renewals, as long as the test reports show compliance with the new limits.
