Argentina - ENACOM Updated Standard For Cellular Devices Now Allows 5G Approvals

On November 30, 2020, ENACOM published note No. 2020-82358268-APN-SNYE#ENACOM to introduce an updated version of the Testing Protocols for Broadband Devices.

According to the publication, due to several inquiries on the 30dB limit established for unwanted emissions on “Testing Protocol for Broadband Digital Modulation Systems V20.1”, ENACOM has clarified the following:

  • The 30dBc limit for “unwanted emissions” will apply only to the testing of “spurious emissions” based on ITU-R SM.1539 recommendation.
  • The new testing protocol came into effect on December 1, 2020.
