Azerbaijan has recently updated the compliance requirements for market access. Previously, the “State Agency of Standardization, Metrology and Patents” (AZS) issued certificates that covered both Safety and EMC requirements. As of December 2, 2020, AZS will only be responsible for issuing safety approvals and accredited Certification Bodies will issue separate EMC approval certificates.
For products that were approved prior to December 2, 2020, separate EMC certification is not mandatory, however, it is recommended (to avoid issues during import and sale in Azerbaijan).
