The Autorité de Régulation des Communications Electroniques et de la Poste (ARCEP) has issued a statement urging all stakeholders to ensure their devices are properly certified by ARCEP prior to market access in Benin. Manufacturers, importers and vendors have until December 31, 2021 to comply.
ARCEP also announced they intend to take action to prevent unapproved equipment from connecting to the telecommunications network in Benin. Therefore, after December 31, 2021, unapproved devices will be banned from connection to Benin Telecommunications Networks and face penalties.
