On February 27, 2023, the Botswana Communications Regulatory Authority (BOCRA) released updated Type Approval Guidelines which establish the requirements that devices must satisfy for approval in Botswana. The Guidelines contain Type Approval fee updates and the requirements to establish an acceptable repair service in Botswana for each type of registered equipment.
Furthermore, BOCRA has released Type Approval Repair Service Provider Guidelines, aimed to safeguard consumers from the negative impacts of subpar repair and maintenance services, as well as provide direction on the accreditation of Repair Service Providers.
