On September 1, 2020 ANATEL published Act No.4776 that updates Act 14448 and defines changes to the Technical Requirements For Assessing Conformity Assessment of Restricted Radiation Equipment.
Main changes include:
- Extends the available frequency range for radar applications in a vehicle to 76 – 81 GHz
- The average power limits of 50 dBm EIRP and peak 55 dBm EIRP apply
- The manufacture, import, sale and installation of vehicle radars operating in the 46.7-46.9 GHz bands are prohibited from January 1, 2022
- Regulations for Level Detection Emitter-Sensor operating in the 76-81GHz
- Regulations for Vehicle Communication System
- Regulations for Wireless Multigigabit System
- Regulations for systems sharing access to the media in the 5.150-5.350 MHz, 5.470-5.725 MHz and 5.725-5.850 MHz bands
