ANATEL, the authority in charge for approving telecommunications equipment in Brazil, has issued the official document Nº 585/2020. The document states ANATEL is extending the flexibility for the renewal of certificates that will expire until December 31, 2020, due to the COVID-19 scenario.
Certificates that expire between March 06, 2020 and December 31, 2020, will be allowed to renew without testing and presentation of pictures, for devices that did not undergo any change in its components compared to the previous certification.
