Last week, the Agencia Nacional de Telecomunicacoes (ANATEL) published Act Nº 8991, Act Nº 8995 and Act Nº 9064 that define the technical and operational requirements for the 3700-3800 MHz; 27.5 to 27.9 GHz, and 3300-3700 MHz bands for 5G NR technology.
The technical and operational requirements defined in these Acts include EIRP power limits, base station height, undesirable emission limits, and separation distances, in order to establish coexistence conditions between 5G NR stations and land stations of the fixed-satellite service and between 5G NR stations and Aeronautical Radio Navigation Service.
