On October 25, 2021, the Agencia Nacional de Telecomunicacoes (ANATEL), published Act No. 9435. This Act updates the technical requirements for assessing the conformity of Transceiver for Radio Base Stations.
Updates include enabling 5G testing:
- Art. 1 Update the Annex to Act nº 3153, of June 12, 2020 , which approves the technical requirements for assessing the conformity of Transceiver for Radio Base Station, in the form of the Annex to this Act.
- 2.11. ETSI TS 138 141-1 V16.6.0 (2021-01) – 5G; NR; Base Station (BS) conformance testing Part 1: Conducted conformance testing (Release 16) .
- 2.12. ETSI TS 138 141-2 V16.6.0 (2021-01) – 5G; NR; Base Station (BS) conformance testing Part 2: Radiated conformance testing (Release 16) .
- 2.13. ETSI TS 137 141 V16.8.0 (2021-01) – Digital cellular telecommunications system (Phase 2+) (GSM); Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS); LTE; 5G; NR, E-UTRA, UTRA and GSM /EDGE; Multi-Standard Radio (MSR) Base Station (BS) conformance testing (Release 16 ) .
This Act enters into force on the date of its publication in ANATEL’s Electronic Service Bulletin October 25, 2021.
