The National Telecommunication Agency of Brazil (ANATEL) issued ACT 209 on January 14, 2019 to provide updated technical requirements for assessing the conformity of Cellular Mobile Telephone and Terminal Access Terminal – ETA. Tables 1 and 2 of Annex 1 describe the minimum features for the process of assessment showing the Normative Document, Applicable Requirements and Test Procedures. The full Act can be viewed here.
The technologies included in the amendment are as follows:
- Global mobile satellite service – SGMS
- Personal mobile services including all cellular and IoT technologies
- Mobile services in Point – Multipoint Applications
- Fixed telephone service STFC with wireless access
