- provide general information and definitions.
- identify the power limits associated with devices operating in the 5850-5895 MHz band.
- identify the unwanted emission limits associated with devices operating in the 5850-5895 MHz band.
RSS-247, Issue 3 came into effect upon its publication and is now in force. However, a transition period of six months from the publication date will be provided. Within this span, all requests for certification following RSS-247, version 2 or version 3, will be accepted. Following this duration, only applications for equipment certification under RSS 247, version 3, will be accepted. Furthermore, equipment manufactured, imported, distributed, leased, made available for purchase, or sold in Canada must adhere to this current version.
