The department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) has updated and released the following document:
- This document, Radio Standards Specification RSS-252, Issue 2, outlines the certification requirements for radio apparatus, with the exception of Road Side Units (RSUs), operating in the 5895–5925 MHz frequency band intended for use in Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) applications.
As a result of the December 2022 decision SMSE-012-22, Decision on the Technical and Policy Framework for Radio Local Area Network Devices in the 5850-5895 MHz Band and for Intelligent Transportation Systems in the 5895-5925 MHz Band, the document was updated to include the new ITS technology and update the frequencies, 5895-5925 MHz, that are available for use by the ITS OBU devices.
