We want to inform you about an upcoming five-day shutdown of ISEDS’s Spectra systems, scheduled from 8:00 AM on Thursday, June 20th, 2024, until 11:59 PM on Monday, June 24th, 2024 (EST) for a system update (Code Drop 56). During this period, the Spectra servers will be unavailable.

Will the REL and other database functions be accessible during this time?
No, all database functions will be unavailable, including company search, REL & TAR search tools. However, searching for recognized CBs & Labs will still be available as it does not directly depend on Spectra.
For applications shown as “granted” with a deferred REL listing, will these devices be listed on the REL as expected?
- Applications approved and “granted” in Spectra (without a deferred listing date) prior to the shutdown: These will be listed on the REL before the shutdown and will be available again once the REL is back online.
- Applications with a deferred listing date set within the shutdown period: These listings will appear on the REL immediately after Spectra is back online. They will not be available on the expected date during the shutdown.
- Applications with a deferred listing date set after the shutdown period: These will appear on the REL on the expected date.
For applications submitted into SpectraWeb prior to the shutdown where the ISED internal review is pending or in process, will these be reviewed during the shutdown?
No, this is a complete Spectra shutdown. Both SpectraWeb and ISED’s Spectra internal interface for review and approval will be unavailable. Applications submitted prior to the shutdown, where the internal review cannot be completed, will be on hold and resume once Spectra is back online.
For applications submitted prior to the shutdown, will they be listed on the REL if ISED completes their review while SpectraWeb is down?
Applications compliant and reviewed before the shutdown will be listed in the REL, but the listing will not be available during the shutdown. The listings will be accessible again once the REL is back online. Applications with pending internal reviews will resume post-shutdown, and listings will occur after the review completion.
