On September 14, 2022, the Subsecretaría de Telecomunicaciones (SUBTEL) published Resolution 2844 Exempt. This revised a 2020 decision to free up the country’s entire 6 GHz band for Wi-Fi and now only permits the lower portion from 5.925 – 6.425 MHz.
The Resolution took effect on the date of publication and existing applications for certification must be re-entered to meet the current provisions.
