China – Implementation of New Standard GB 17625.1-2022 for CCC Certification

China SRRC UWB

On December 29, 2022, the “New Standard” GB 17625.1-2022 for electromagnetic compatibility limits was released. It applies to various electronic products and safety accessories, lighting appliances, household, and similar equipment. This standard is the basis for CCC certification and will replace the old version standard, GB 17625.1-2012, from July 1, 2024.

Until June 30, 2024, enterprises have the option to voluntarily certify their products according to either the old or new versions of the standard. However, starting from July 1, 2024, the new version of the standard should be used for certification, and the old version of the standard certification certificate will no longer be issued.

For products that have been certified according to the old version of the standard, the holder of the old certification certificate should submit an application to convert the certificate to the new version. This should be done after the standard implementation date (i.e. July 1, 2024) and before the end of the first tracking inspection. The conversion process should be completed by June 30, 2025, at the latest. Failure to complete the conversion by this deadline may result in the suspension or revocation of the old certification certificate.

However, certified products that have been delivered, put on the market, and are no longer being produced before July 1, 2024, do not require certificate conversion.
