On May 26, 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) issued a notice regarding the implementation of a capability test for wireless LAN devices to support the IPv6 protocol in type approval. The draft proposal aims to enhance the compatibility and functionality of wireless LAN devices by ensuring they are capable of supporting the next-generation Internet Protocol, IPv6.
