The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) of China has issued an update of Regulations on the Administration of Radio Transmission Equipment. This new regulation will come into effect on July 1, 2023.
Summary of the main changes are as follows:
- The validity period of each renewal of the SRRC certificate shall not exceed 5 years.
- The SRRC Authority will issue ID coding rules (to be shared later). Please note that the product cannot be sold or used in China until the SRRC certificate is obtained.
- The special identification of the SRD radio transmission equipment shall be marked in the SRD radio transmission equipment and in the instructions for use (the marking method and style of the special identification shall be provided later).
- The instructions for use of SRD radio transmission equipment shall indicate the words “the use of micro-power short-distance radio transmission equipment shall comply with the relevant regulations of the State on Radio Management”.
