El Salvador – SIGET Allocates the the Entire 6 GHz Band for Unlicensed Operations

SIGET 6 GHz

The General Superintendence of Electricity and Telecommunications (SIGET) has updated their National Table of Frequency Allocation to allow the use of Wi-Fi 6E networks . By designating the entire 6 GHz band (5.925 to 7.125 MHz) as “Unlicensed,” SIGET has paved the way for the widespread implementation of Wi-Fi 6E networks.

While the resolution restricts the use of Wi-Fi 6E to indoor environments, it ensures the efficient and secure utilization of the frequency spectrum.
