Directive (EU) 2022/2380 on Common Charger

The European Commission has published a review on the Restriction of the Use of Hazardous Substances in Electronics. At this time, EU rules limit the use of certain harmful substances in electrical and electronic equipment in order to protect human health and the environment and ensure proper functioning of the internal market. The initiative aims to simplify and increase the efficiency of the current rules and improve their enforcement.

According to the initiative, the aim of the consultation is to enable all interested stakeholders, including members of the public, to provide evidence and give views on the best options to improve the RoHS Directive.

The Review can be accessed here, and comments should be submitted between February 14 – March 14, 2022.
