On December 7, 2022, Directive (EU) 2022/2380 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 November 2022 amending Directive 2014/53/EU on the harmonization of the laws of the Member States relating to the making available on the market of radio equipment, has been published in the Official Journal of the European Union.
The Directive introduces requirements for the Common Charger solution and seeks to harmonize the charging interface for mobile phones and similar categories or classes of radio equipment that are recharged via a wired cable.
