FCC – Weekend Maintenance for FCC’s Equipment Authorization System (EAS)

FCC Proposal to Ban Untrustworthy Labs

Please take note of an important update from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regarding scheduled maintenance for its Equipment Authorization Electronic Filing System (EAS) during the weekend of March 30th and 31st, 2024. Beginning at approximately 8 am Eastern Daylight Time on Saturday, March 30th, maintenance activities will be underway, with operations expected to conclude by around 7:00 am on Monday, April 1st.

During this maintenance period, both the Telecommunication Certification Body (TCB) and Knowledge Database (KDB) systems will be offline, rendering them inaccessible for users. However, should the maintenance conclude ahead of schedule, possibly by Sunday, the systems will be made available promptly upon completion.

It’s essential for users to plan accordingly, considering potential downtime during this period. The FCC apologizes for any inconvenience caused and assures users that operations will be restored swiftly once maintenance is finalized.
