Ghana – Energy Efficiency and Energy Guide Label Approval Process

The Energy Commission of Ghana has established guidelines for the energy efficiency process.

As a result, the appliances mentioned below must adhere to these rules in order to fulfil the Minimum Energy Performance Standard (MEPS) and get the Energy Guide Label from Ghana’s Energy Commission.

Room Air-conditioners (RACs)
Distribution Transformers
Washing Machines
Ceiling, wall, standing and tabletop comfort fans
Television sets
Public lighting
Computers
Decoders
Microwaves
Electric motors
Electric Kettles
Inverters
Renewable Energy Batteries
Industrial Fans
Ventilating Fans
Water Heaters
Rice Cookers
Solar Panel

A local representative is also required for the same.
