The Office of the Communications Authority (OFCA) has assigned spectrum in the 24/28 GHz bands to mobile operators for 5G services.
“The spectrum can be used from April 2019 onward for deployment of 5G services to provide high capacity transmission at both outdoor and indoor locations of high traffic demand.” a spokesman of the CA said.
OFCA has issued the following standards for equipment operating in the 24.25 – 28.35 GHz band:
