The Telecommunication Engineering Centre, (TEC) of India has published an amendment to MTCTE for Phase III and IV device certification.
Highlights of the amendment include:
- the effective date for mandatory certification of both Phase III and IV devices is now July 1, 2022
- test reports issued by TEC labs for all parameters will be valid for up to 5 years
- test reports issued by ILAC labs for technical parameters will be valid for up to 2 years for products listed in Annexure-II
- the ILAC relaxation for Phase IV is now extended to June 30, 2022 for ERs mentioned in Annexure-II (Phase III relaxation remains extended until June 30, 2022)
