India – TEC Announces Shifting of Products From GCS Scheme to SCS Scheme Under MTCTE

On November 1, 2022, India TEC (Telecommunication Engineering Center) published a notice regarding shifting of products from GCS Scheme to SCS Scheme under MTCTE.

The products below were shifted from the General Certification Scheme (GCS) to the Simplified Certification Scheme (SCS):

• Cordless Phone
• PABX
• PON Equipment
• Transmission Terminal Equipment
• Equipment operating in 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz band
• LAN Switches
• Router

The change comes into effect from January 1, 2023. For applications filed before January 1, 2023, the above mentioned products will remain under the existing GCS Scheme.
