India – TEC Extends Deadline for Test Report Submission for Phase V Devices Under MTCTE

MTCTE

The Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) of India has recently announced an extension for the submission of test reports for certain telecommunications equipment. The new deadline is now set for July 30, 2024, extending the previous deadline from June 30, 2024.

Extended Acceptance Period Benefits

This one-month extension allows additional time for obtaining necessary certifications from ILAC-accredited labs located in non-border sharing countries. The products impacted by this extension include:

  • Base Stations for Cellular Networks tailored for 5G
  • 5G Core Systems
  • Hypervisors
  • E-band Fixed Radio Relay Systems
  • Converged Multi-Service Application Access Equipment (C-MSAAE)
  • IP Terminals
  • Hybrid Set-Top Boxes

Despite the extension of the test report submission deadline, the mandatory certification date for these products remains unchanged and is set for July 1, 2024. This means manufacturers must act swiftly to ensure their products meet all regulatory requirements by this fixed date.
