The Direktorat Jenderal Sumber Daya dan Perangkat Pos dan Informatika (SDPPI) of Indonesia has published KOMINFO No. 3 Tahun 2024 on the Certification of Telecommunications Equipment.
The Regulation includes the following updates:
- Test reports from domestic or overseas labs must be no older than 5 years at the time of submission for Type Approval of mobile phones, handheld computers, and tablet computers.
- All telecommunications equipment, including SRD, must include mandatory labeling, including a. certificate number and PLG ID; b. QR Code; and c. warning signs.
The Regulation takes effect on May 23, 2024.
