Malaysia – MCMC has officially published IPv6 (Internet Protocol version 6) requirements: MCMC MTSFB T013:2019.
The estimated roll out dates are as follows:
- July – August 2019
- Submission of tariff code proposal to MOF (Subject to Technical Code registration)
- Applicant may submit IPv6 application during 1 year grace period
- August – September 2019
- Tarriff Code Enforcement by JKDM
- July 2020
- Implementation of IPv6 Certification program
- Q3 2020
- Local test facilities will be ready
Summary of IPv6 :
- The affected products will be AP, Gateway, Mobile phones and related products directly connected to the service provider.
- Products controlled by IPv6 are mandatory to obtain IPv6 certification after July 1, 2020.
- From now until July 2020 , applicants may start to submit IPv6 applications during a one year grace period.
