On March 1, 2018 it was announced that Malaysia will mandate MEPS reports on air conditioners, refrigerators and washing machines. Application for manufacturing, import and sales of such appliances will need to provide the copy of the MEPS report that follow the Suruhanjaya Tenaga ( ST ) Guidelines to apply for Certificate of Approval.
The mandate will take affect on the following dates this year:
Air Conditioners – 1st June 2018
Refrigerators – 1st June 2018
Washing Machines – 1st September 2018
