On July 10, 2022, the Standard and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM), announced that the implementation of the interim Type Approval for IPv6 Cellular Equipment, without WiFi interface, is extended for 1 year. The 1 year interim approval also includes IPv6 Fiber Optic and IPv6 equipment over other mediums, with the exception of Ethernet LAN.
However, it is important to note that within the interim approval period, test reports need to be performed by an accredited laboratory available and submitted for SIRIM evaluation.
