The Mexican Ministry of Economy has published Standard NMX-I-62368-1-NYCE-2020 on Audio/Video, Information and Communication Technology Equipment – Part 1: Safety Requirements. This Standard will take effect on August 25, 2022, and will replace the previous standard version NMX-I-62368-1-NYCE-2015.
This Mexican standard is applicable to the safety of electronic audio/video equipment, information and communication technology, and office equipment with a rated voltage not exceeding 480 V.
NMX-I-62368-1-NYCE-2020 applies to the following:
- equipment operating at single-phase voltage of:
- 100V a.c to 277 V a.c
- 50 Hz or 60 Hz
- and/or three-phase voltage of:
- 173 V a.c to 480 V a.c
- 50 Hz or 60 Hz
