On February 23, 2020, a cyber attack was detected at the Ministry of Economy in Mexico. As a precaution, the Directorate General of Information Technology (DGTI) requested providers to isolate all networks and servers.
The official update stated that an agreement was published in order to guarantee legal certainty for all citizens and companies that have pending procedures or who want to start them, and clarifies:
- All the terms of the procedures that are in progress, both for individuals and for the authority, are suspended until an Agreement that resumes them is issued.
- For any new procedure that is entered physically, the period is also suspended.
The suspension could cause possible delays at customs.
